The Lobster® device is an interspinous spacer that allows, percutaneously, interspinous distraction for indirect decompression of lumbar degenerative stenosis.
The system consists of a cylindrical body in titanium and covered by a central saddle available in three different construction configurations (PEEK, Titanium or Medical Silicone).
The Lobster® is also equipped with a patented opening / closing mechanism of the wings which allows the possible removal of the spacer even when the device has been positioned in its seat with the wings open.
The design of the Lobster® is characterized by a particular geometric conformation that limits the extension movements and reduces the stress on the articular facets, and by wings enveloping the spinous processes that ensure stability in any dislocations.
