IMD

IMD is a Turkish company headquartered in Istanbul, active since 2002 in the design, manufacture, and distribution of devices for orthopaedic surgery and traumatology. Over the years, it has developed a comprehensive range of orthopaedic trauma implants—including screws, nails, and plates—as well as prostheses, supported by a robust pre- and post-sales service dedicated to surgeons and healthcare facilities.
Within its prosthetic portfolio, the IMD radial head prosthesis is designed to restore joint function by replacing the damaged radial head. It is a modular, two-component implant that can be adapted to different patient anatomies. The side-loading design of the radial head enables straightforward in situ insertion and assembly, while the tapered locking mechanism with a connecting screw ensures stable fixation to the stem. The round, symmetrical prosthetic head is designed for optimal sizing and correct positioning, with a smooth head-to-neck transition intended to preserve the annular ligament and promote elbow stability and mobility.
