Born in 2016 as an innovative startup within the Innovative Business Incubator of the Polytechnic of Turin (I3P), Medics is today a leading company in the field of 3D anatomical modeling applied to pre-operative planning and intra-operative support of complex surgeries.

TRAUMATOLOGY

Hyper Accuracy 3D® is transversal to all surgical specialties

In the case of complex articular fractures, HA3D® anatomical replicas allow the surgeon to interact with the anatomy to:

  • Simulate the reduction of the fracture fragments
  • Pre-model the synthesis means on the HA3D® model
  • Know the exact spatial position of the fragments

PROSTHETIC

Complex Revisions

Intraoperatively constructed revision systems are linked to the impossibility of simulating the surgery correctly. HA3D® demonstrates its greatest advantages precisely in revision surgery, since it allows to:

  • Evaluate the correlations between implants and the patient’s anatomical situation
  • Dimension and predict the new prosthetic implant
  • Identify the best surgical strategy

ONCOLOGY

HA3D® models in oncology are very effective for understanding relationships with intra- and extraskeletal anatomical structures and visceral organs.

CRANIO-MAXILLO-FACIAL

The use of HA3D® to support cranio-maxillo-facial surgery is divided into three areas: traumatology, oncology, malformations
In the oncology field, these models allow the simulation of the demolition phase and the reconstructive phase of the operation, including peroneal (or iliac) osteotomies.

Furthermore, it is possible to simulate the synthesis of the fragments at the mandibular level by pre-modeling the plates. All surgical guides are customized based on the specific needs of the operation, both in terms of clinical habits and instrumentation.

RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY

HA3D® allows planning to functionally and aesthetically re-establish both congenital and acquired defects, simulating their outcome.

Reconstruction proves effective in the study of the clinical case, with the aim of performing a less invasive and safer intervention possible.
